If you call a back up to a back up getting reps in game time running up the score, sure. FSU should have been able to stop the little guy.

Why not just take a knee with 30 seconds left and the game in hand?

Yes he did. Classy people take knee in that situation…
We’ll make sure we take a knee on 11/25 just for you to make it right.
Why has every thread in the past year you have started been about Clemson here?

Because their fan base is an easy target

I miss that guy who used to tell us how many days it had been since Clemson beat South Carolina.
Any fan base is an easy target. You aren’t some kind of trend setter.

Who cares if he ran it up? With today’s “ranking system,” you have to factor in quality of win, not just strength of schedule. For the teams you’re supposed to beat, the more handily you beat them, the more it benefits your potential ranking. To say a team should take a knee, especially after inserting 2nd and 3rd string players into the game, is just laughable. Maybe the other team should have a little pride and put forth greater effort. As Herm Edwards said, “you play to win the game.” Part of a winning game plan shouldn’t be figuring out when it’s acceptable to start taking a knee for fear of being publicly criticized by participation trophy recipients on social media/public forums.
In all honesty, I’m not a Clemson fan and I’m definitely not into defending Dabo. Personally, I think he’s a goofball and comes across as more of a “big brother” than a head coach. Granted, it’s working in Tatertown. His record speaks for itself so hats off to him. I just think he’s a clown. That said, when quality of win is factored into you post season aspirations, you keep your foot on the pedal until the end of the game. If I were a player on the other team, I would feel more humiliated if the team I was playing took it easy on us and started taking knees as opposed to thoroughly stomping our butts.
God bless the “ignore” function.
When the fanbase complains about them taking their foot off of the go pedal too frequently, and that very thing leading to close games when they shouldn’t be, I’m glad for every point we score.
Also, GTFOH with that run the score up ****, you know (**()ed well that wasn’t what that was about.

Up by 10 with 30 seconds to go and still running plays. Classless.

LOL!!!

What’s really funny is that he knows the beat down that’s coming their way in 2 weeks. 7:30 at the roach, cold and clammy with a sewer treatment plant feel in the air. That’s as good as it gets in Columbia!

One thing is for sure, if USC plays as sloppily against Clemson as they did against Florida, Fritz will have another opportunity to complain about Dabo running up the score…by the end of the first half.
God bless the “ignore” function.
Oh, I forgot to add, the odds of “Live PD” making an appearance at the roach just went up exponentially.

1 loss team has to beat crappy teams by a large margin to make it into the playoffs. Reality of the situation we’re in.
So the final score is all that matters? I listened to the game and remember FSU having the ball and the chance to take the lead with about 5 minutes left. Then they throw an Interception and Clemson scores 2 more touchdowns to make the score what it was. Either way FSU had a chance to take the lead in the 4th quarter.
