My good friend, Pat McWhirter and I ended up in the Beaufort area this AM looking clearer water. When the ocean is dingy from the west winds and you can’t see down a foot, it’s tough, at least for me. We didn’t get the first topwater bite, but I sure like throwing that plug. After the tide turned, we fished some marginal water and caught them on jigs, but you really had to fish hard to get a bite.
The plate is from Saturday nite: Edisto flounder, Bennett’s Point shrimp, and Eggplant (Ravenel) casserole. Bob

Bob,
How has the trout bite been this time of year? What kind of numbers are you getting per trip and how many keepers? thanks
Compact, Depends on the group as to the numbers. It ain’t rocket science, but you have to be presentation specific to catch the bigger fish. Bob

Jerry, We ought to fish when you first get down, to give you a heads up to fish the rest of the week out of your boat. Let me know and we’ll talk about what I feel you should have to fish from your boat. I provide everything on my charters. Thanks, Bob
