Dive shops

Anyone know if there’s a local supplier for speargun bands or any dive shops in Chas that carry spear guns? The bands on my small Bandido have finally rotted out.

Only dive shope I’ve been to here in Chas is the one by the holiday inn and when I asked about speargun parts they kind of all reeled back in shock looking at me, I then looked around and noticed that all the display cases had u/w cameras only in them. Needless to say, they didn’t have the parts.

Russ,
Ask this question on charlestondiving.com. I’m not sure of the name but there’s supposively a good one over in MP.

Atlantic Coast Dive Center on Mt Pleasant is your next best bet. If not there, try Divers Supply on the net and give them the end-to-end length of the rubbers. Thickness, color, type of rubber might matter to you too.

Thnx guys, will give em a shout.

Bulk band material, get with Floridafreedivers.com . Mike is a great guy and very helpful.

I’ll show you how to tie the bands and anything else if you dn’t already know how bro.

stay away from factory bands…

Yeah, used to make all my own for long spearguns and hawaiian slings. This is just for a real short speargun I’ve had for ages, I only need about 2 ft for two bands. Dug out my old pnumatic gun too and have to get some new O rings for it as well.

I have some band material then if its only a bit of it.

Atlantic Coast Dive Center in Mt Pleasant. Good Folks

I know this reply is a little late, but finding bands in chas. is like finding a needle in a haystack. MP does have some bands, but they are thrown in a box and all mixed up. You may find what you need. International Dive INst. on the navy base carries guns, but you will probably need to order bands. Good luck.
