Orange has to take an ACC team. Since there are only 2 teams in the ACC there is no other option besides Clemson.

The Orange does not have to take an ACC team. After The BCSNCG none of them mean anything more than the payouts. Not sure why you’re getting your panties in a was. Conference limitations are what would put Clemson in a BCS game. No back door to it, it’s selection based on distribution and putting asses in seats.

You really don’t understand how the system works do you? It’s about the big party, asses in the seats and money in the coffers. Most of your recruiting for the following year is done. Down the road maybe but it’s a what have you done for me right now world.

I understand just fine. But telling a recruit we have been to bowl game 4 years in a row, is not as appealing as we have been to 4 BCS bowl games.
With that said, getting beat by 70 points(or whatever it was. no one cared after half time) in a BCS bowl games is not a good recruiting tool either.

Orange typically pulls the best from the ACC. This year FSU is headed to the NCG, so it’s up to the organizers to decide who they want. You can call it a back door if you want to. As for me, I’ll be happy to watch my Tigers play in January.

If they do make it to the orange bowl I wonder how much it will end up costing them financially. Sure they will get it back when the 17million is distrubeted but they will still come out of pocket even with all of those “asses in the seats”.

Herbstreit said Clemson would embarrass OSU’s secondary. Seems like they are pretty confident it will happen.
Unless you can get Ohio States coach to punch one of your players I won’t be impressed.

I just have to ask Fritz, what is your obsession with knocking Clemson constantly?? I understand that you are a Carolina fan and appreciate that means you are not a fan of CU, but seems like you spend much more time worrying about CU, the ACC, ticket prices for the ACC championship,how much CU pros suck in the NFL etc, etc instead of celebrating SC’s success.
