Looking for as much advice as I can get. Checked on a few inshore charters and they want more than I’m willing to spend. So… I’m taking some medium heavy tackle and heading to the surf, I’ve heard the reefs are fairly close to the beach and offer a decent amount of action. Just curious if anyone has fished this area that might be able to help me out.
Never been there but if the seas are calm, I’d look into a kayak if the reefs are actually that close to shore
Years ago, went to Punta Cana with a few other couples on a non-fishing vacation. I brought along some gear anyway and would walk the beach early in the morning casting a 4 inch spoon as far as I could then reeling it fast enough to keep it on the surface. Caught a bunch of nice jacks, blues and a couple Spanish.
