We rolled out around 9am only to find the harbor laden with a thick bank of fog. Running mainly on the GPS chartplotter and some strained eyes we edged out to 70 ft of water. The fog eased off and we caught a nice mess of sea bass. On the way back we decided to pull some lures. We were running around 10-12 knots. Much to our suprise we got several hook ups one cut off and boated 2 little tunnys.
what happened to that bonita? Why do you ask? Is it special to you?

MAYBE! I’m starving here! haha…
Does anyone eat them? I always remember using them as bait but somebody has told me they taste just like a tuna after being blackened…not going to find out though!
Pack the filets in salt for two days, remove, wash them off and soak for 4 hours in tap water, Marinate in Italian dressing overnight. Place filets on the grill skin side down with lots of lemon slices on top but do not turn them. Turn the grill off, throw grill and fish in dumpster and order Pizza or Chinese. That should teach you to never bring those things back home.
