Anyone ever fished a Carolina rigged Gulp shrimp in the surf for Flounder if so what hook?

I have done this for redfish inshore around docks or on drop offs for redfish. I would suggest putting the 4" on a half ounce or one ounce jig head and drag it on the bottom for flounder. I’ve had trouble hooking flounder in the gulp shrimp rigged on a circle hook.

Try just running the hook through the head end crosswise and letting it “dangle”. You probably know this, but you have to let flounder mouth the bait for a while before setting the hook. Sorta like Cobia. That light tap, tap, tap, that feels like a crab or a pinfish can be a flounder.
