Can someone tell me what is the boat anchored a mile out from south beach with the cans extending in a line for about a mile from the boat in various direction. Is it a dredge? Are they laying pipes? Why wouldn’t there be lights on the cans? Is there any danger running in between the cans- I crept over them last week and there was nothing on my sounder.
Dredging sand onto beach. Pipes on bottom , you will not hit same. I believe all cans are lit. Should not be an issue.

Cans were not lit two weeks ago but maybe they have changed. Im surprised they aren’t suppose to have balloons or something more visible than a can half submerged.
Beach re-nourishment project. It’s been published for months in the NOTAMS. We are supposed to read those
