Dreher Island state park is just north of Columbia(google it)…I’ve only thrown the fly a few times into some diving gulls(surfacing stripers)…no luck and I still suck at it !
Cutmullet …they wouldn’t let me reserve for 1 night …I may camp at the launch at the mouth of buffalo crk(free and close to where the fish have ben past 2 mays)

Where is Buffalo creek in relation to the park? You can camp on my site. Maybe Mud and Scot will get one. Will the water be warm enough to swim. You still got any fish in the freezer? Also, I need ot know what type of tackle to bring.

Sorry Cutmullet…I woke at 3 am(truck loaded)…2 goody’s powders and a couple cups of coffee and still couldn’t find enough motivation to make the 4 hr. drive…No way I’ll miss a trip for stripes in may !
Hey murray, you didn’t miss much, even though we starved sense we didn’t have a smoker to cook the fish that we didn’t catch, it seems like you made a good decision.
