fished around distant island tuesday afternoon. i was only able to get in about an 1.5 hours of fishing but ended up with a nice 23" spot’ and two black drum (14" & 16"). all came on live shrimp during the incoming tide. i was actually targeting trout, but can’t complain with the drum. ready to catch some more!
(sorry, my caps lock seems to be broken)
sounds like a good catch
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

Did you buy or catch your shrimp? I’m still having trouble finding shrimp that don’t slip through my net.

i caught the shrimp in the creeks beforehand. alot of em’ were too small but there was still plenty of bait-sized ones to be found.
yesterday and today we’ve brought in some keeper size shrimp in battery creek. Even took some home to eat. pulled in well over 100 yesterday, and around 50 today. 2-3 per cast though, so you’ll put in some work.
