How would have DW done in the draft against the lesser division , but more NFL caliber QBs? I mean geez, that Carson Wentz guy took the #2 spot in the draft. Would have DW changed the draft on the first five picks?

QB was weak this year for sure. Next year should be pretty good. Wentz at 2 is crazy in my book. Watson certainly would have kept Wentz out the top 2.

Really, look at Wentz. Who would you choose, 6’5" prototype QB at the next level? A four time National Champion, or a #2 dude? Physically, Wentz stands over DW by like 6 inches and has a much better arm and MIND for the game.
Facts are facts. DW won’t ever go in the top two in the draft…

Yea lots of guys look great playing JV squads.
Here’s his resume:
*just came off half a season of JV ball due to injury
*63% completion percentage the last two years
*Played 1 game since breaking his throwing wrist which he was 16 of 29 with 1 TD and 2 INTs
*running QB in a passing league. 4.77 40 isn’t going to out run much in the NFL
I’ll pass. I don’t even need to watch him play with those stats. This is even worse than the Kellen Moore effect.
If you want to pick a JV guy how about WKU’s Brandon Doughty?
*repeat yardage champ
*6-3 220 is decent size
*Last two seasons 69.9% completion 97TDs and only 19 INT’s
Brandon threw for 60 less yards, 3 more touchdowns, and 4 fewer INTs this last season than Wentz had his whole college career.
I wouldn’t draft either high but if I’m picking a diamond in the rough I’ll look for one with elite stats first…and in later rounds.

I think all he hype about him is so stupid. Great kid, great player, but in actuality, he’s really only played one season. I saw something the other day predicting where he would go in next years draft, and to what team. WTF? Great kid, exceptional talent, smart, clean, and anyone would like him to be on their team. But lets spot the ball in Sept…
Barring injury he will be a top 10 pick. If he has a similar season this year to last he will likely be #1. He had an amazing season last year without his best WR all season. Williams will likely make him look even better.
