With both Edisto boat launches closed for the triathlon (Vegas Dave is hoi polloi, and not a member of the EIYC) we had to cool our jets waiting for the swimmers to make their way from the state park to the Marina.
Once we got underway we picked up some baitfish at one of the many reefs near the beach, then ran the glass to the 40.
We set up in a couple different spots over the course of the day, some inside the reef zone, some outside looking for Bull Redfish.
We wound up with two; both 38 inches, as well as most of the usual suspects; the virtually extinct American Red Snapper, BSBs, Croakers, Grunts, a spotted Eel that we used for bait, Sharpnose Sharks, a Weakfish, a Puffer, but surprisingly, no Bluefish.
Water temp was 69 degrees on this picture perfect sunny Fall day.
Back at it hopefully later in the week.
