Made it out to Edisto for a couple hours this afternoon with the family before the rain came. Got out there just after noon and the tide was about dead low. Caught a small whiting right off the bat, but he jumped out of my hand and back into the water. About 10 minutes later I caught a small bluefish so he was the shark bait this time. Set my bigger rod out with about a 2-3" chunk of bluefish and set in the rod holder. Took about 20 minutes before the pole started bending. The wife grabbed the pole and handed to our son.

Kid handled the fight like a pro. Ended up being a 3’ sharpnose, which we kept for the grill.

Didn’t take long after re-baiting for the rod to start bending again. This time the wife got to battle one in.

This fish put up a good fight and made a few good runs. Could tell it was a bigger fish. Not exactly sure what species this guy is but thinking blacktip or spinner. Funny thing is, somehow she got two fish on one hook. The smaller shark went up the line like on a stringer. Not sure if the bigger shark was trying to eat him or how there would have been bait still on the hook if the small guy went up the line like that. Both were released.
