was off today so i took the kid after home schoolin. got out there around 3pm, caught a 10" whiting for bait not long after arriving. quickly cut him up and got a bigger rod out. was rigging up another rod when the other rod bent over in the holder. quickly grabbed the rod and handed it off to my son. he had a nice little fight for about 8 mins, turned out to be a pretty good sized ray. was my son’s first ray, so he was pretty excited. fished about another 1hr 45mins before some storms moved in, only had a couple more nibbles on the cut whiting.
