I should say nothing to report. I hit the surf yesterday and caught the usual, a small whiting and a couple of small sharks. The interesting thing is that we did have a crab pot at the house that we were allowed to use so I threw some chicken scraps in it and soaked it overnight in the lagoon behind the house. Let me just say this, those of you who are using the old school rod and reel don’t stand a chance against the crab pot aka fish trap. I pulled in the crab pot this morning and low and behold, there was about a 14 inch redfish trapped in it. So my lagoon does hold fish, but I need to figure out how to hook one. I did release that redfish by the way. I will report back later as I have two rods out right now, but with no bites yet!
maybe you should be using chicken scraps as bait!! Just sayin
