Weatherman said send it, and we got to the 40 in record time only to have conditions deteriorate within an hour.
While there we caught a nice 40 inch golden colored Bull, a critically endangered ARS, 3 Ringtails, 2 Pinfish, 3 Grunts, 20 BSBs and 2 Rock Bass. Water temp was 63.
We made our way back to a popular spot off the beach, and were surprised to catch 2 nice Bull Redfish (37, 41) in 61 degree water. I had fished that spot last week without success, and the temps have only dropped since then. We also brought in 6 Sharpnose Sharks and 15 BSBs until whitecaps and wind forced us in. As aways, squid and cut bait were the go tos.
This is probably my last post for the year. It’s been fun documenting these trips, and I hope someone out there has found some value in them.
