I just left the town coucil meeting and the plans for the edisto beach fishing pier have been finalized. The pier is going to be 774 ft from the high water mark. I talked to the owner of the Pavilion before the Town Council meeting and he siad the pier should take 10 months to build.
So, when is the start date expected? Will it encompass the partking lot? Have you seen the plans?

The pier has not been finalized. The only thing Town Council did Thursday night was approve first reading on a parking Ordinance for fishing piers, which will have to pass one more reading and a public hearing. The pier will still have to make application to the Town and be processed through the Planning Commission and Town Council.

Striker knows the in and outs of the whole process a lot better then I being that it is his job. To my knowledge the parking was the last major thing in the way of the pier buing built. Like striker siad there are still a few steps left in the process. I have been told by more then one council member and the owners of the Pavilion that will have a pier eventually.
I think you are correct E82. Edisto will eventually get a pier.
