Edisto Early to Mid March Surf Fishing...

Hi, I’m new to the forums but often visit SC (Greenville, Beaufort and Edisto areas). I was on Edisto a couple of years ago and tried surf fishing for the first time. I had absolutely no luck at all. Fished up and down the sound side with artificial baits (bounced soft baits of the bottom, top water lures too). I fished deep and shallow and no luck.

I’m coming back to Edisto with my wife the second week of March and need some suggestions please. I prefer to surf fish but I also have a canoe and have canoe fished here at home in East TN with some luck. Keep in mind I am a surf fish and tidal creek newbie.
