The Edisto Fishing Club will be hosting their 1st Annual Shark Tournament </font id=“size3”> </font id=“blue”> July 18th, at the Edisto Marina.</font id=“size3”>

We will have a Captains meeting Friday night (July 17th)at 6pm, at the Thirsty Fish (located above Edisto Water Sports, just down from Marina). You must be signed up by that time. You do not have to leave from Edisto Marina to fish, however you do have to weigh in at the Edisto Marina by 6pm, July 18th.

This is an open tournament, so anyone can enter. The entry fee is $75.00 for Club Members, or $100 for Non-Club members. With an additional calcutta of $100 for big fish. The tournament pays as follows:

1st Place - 50%
2nd Place - 30%
3rd Place - 15%

5% will go towards the club.

We will have t-shirts on sale at the Captains meeting, along with food and drink.

I’ve talked a quite a few people regarding this tournament, people are getting pretty excited about it. Even had some people from Hilton Head call interested in fishing. Anyone here plan on fishing??

Looks like a good time, I think I’m in.

To get more outside boats, next time you may want to consider keeping the entry fee the same for everyone so it doesnt cater to just your club members.

It’s looking like we will have a great turn-out, so this tournament should pay pretty good for one day of fishing. We will see everyone Friday night at the Thirsty Fish, 6pm…

Had a wonderful turn out yesterday at the weigh in. I appreciate everyone who came out. Congratulations again to the winning team. A 260 lbs Lemon took first place and paid out over $1300. Due to some great communication on sizes of catches, only two fish were weighed in, limiting the amount of sharks actually killed.
