I will be in Edisto the 1st week of june with the wife. Not real familiar with the area we will be staying by the marina in Edisto. I am taking my boat, and would really like to catch some reds. Curious if anyone has some info on where to try to catch and what to use. I been reading and watching the forum for a few weeks now, and noticed some of the people use trout tricks. Is this something you can get at a local bait shop, and where could i get some shrimp for reds. Also are there any good guides in the area that speacialize in red on flies. Also where are some good places to eat around this area? Thanks for any info you can give up.
lots of creeks around, look for oyster banks to fish around just be wary of the mud flats. try in st pierre creek, behind pine island, or the end of the ashpoo river through the gov. or ■■■■■■■ cut. plantation grill in fairfield, dockside, old post office (off the beach), mcconkeys and seacow for shortorder stuff are good places to eat although there are some others.

If you are staying near the Edisto Marina, then your obvious choice is to shop and talk with the Marina guys. They have everything you need and are willing to help with advice of the area. Bob Sanders is the trout trick king. www.fishingwithbob.com
