Edisto Inshore?

Anyone catching anything inshore around Edisto. Will be at Fairfield next week and am trailering my boat down. Would like to get on some drum and trout.

Fished the last two days so I will give all that care a fishing report and believe me it is a “fishing report.” Caught nothing all day Monday in the gail force winds.
Talked to Captain Fralin out of Ugly Duckling Charters before fishing today. Man what a nice guy. He told us some spots that were protected and had fish. I know a few people have knocked him pretty bad, but I have never had a guide that didn’t know me from Adam give us specific spots. Would highly reccomend Capt. Fralin We did not catch but two fish but one of those was a 19 inch flounder-caught both on arties-jerkbaits. With the wind and rain we felt fortunate to catch those two. The front has the fish in deeper water it seems-cruised several flats the last couple of days and did not spook but one or two fish and very little bait. One thing we did see was some of the biggest sharks I have ever seen inshore. They were coming out of the water in one creek chasing sting rays. Some were 6 feet long. Saw two in the Stono on a mud flat and the others in a creek behind Edisto off the North Stono.

Sounds like you were in the North Edisto. If you were there today you are lucky to be alive. I heard the winds were very bad, in fact on the 11 pm news tonight I just heard of two fishermen in a kayak are missing in that same locale.

Thanks for your support. Appreciate that. some people should be more caeful what they say. It’s a small island.
