Edisto Island Fishing Creeks

Can anyone provide information about steamboat, russel, and blue house creeks? We would really appreciate the help.</font id=“red”> </font id=“red”>

Captain Ron got you some good info! Call me anytime and I’ll be glad to give you info on what I’ve been catching and what bait has been working best on my inshore charters!

Being on the water is a blessing, catching fish is a bonus!

The fishing is better on the main river and larger creeks than Russel and Blue House this time of year, but there are (some) fish there now. Grubs with TroutEye jigs for trout, and cut mullet for reds around deep bends and docks within 2 hours of low tide. Mud minnows fished (dragged) on the bottom around older docks with weedless 1/4 oz. jigheads will catch all 3 prized species.

My favorite area. Russell, Blue House, Brick House, and Sand Creek.
Also ck the flats and creeks on the ICW just north of there, and out the N Edisto toward ocean on right. Westbrook, Occella.
IMO the water is clearer there more often than the south end.

Thanks to all! A nice redfish on mud minnows, and a flounder.
