We got hammered 35 miles offshore by lightning and straight line winds well over 30 knots around 10am. After weathering the storm, the fishing was good. Great numbers of trigger and vermillion. Few red snapper and white grunts. In 105’ of water, squid and cut bait was used. So much for the forecast. It wasn’t close. We survived to fish another day after some white nuckling lightning strikes.
