Fished the 4KI reef last four days. Great to get offshore for some bottom fishing action. The wind was tough, but the bite was strong in 2’-3’ seas all week. Motion ease saved a few clients! Targeting hard structure and live bottoms in 40’ to 50’ of water we have caught a variety of fish. Black bass, black drum, weak fish, grunts, spots and the occasional big shark. One huge hammerhead safely released. Keeper black bass were caught mostly on live bottom. Good numbers of 14"-16" bass in these areas, but still plenty of short ones too, which makes it fun for the kids. Weak fish are thick in areas around concrete rubble with good numbers in 15"-17" range. Spade fish are showing up too. All bottom fish were caught on squid and cut bait.

Thanks Buddy! Glad you are in em! Pray the wind calms down at some time.

Awesome, can’t wait to get some spades this year.

Thanks and nice report. Just the kind of info I’ve been looking for. Have you seen any kings or Spanish around the reefs and live bottom? Again, thanks for the report. There aren’t many reports of this type of beer shore fishing in this area. Again, thanks

Yes. We caught a few Spanish too. Water temp was around 73 degrees so the reefs are coming alive. Good luck brother!
