I am staying at the state park the end of this month and have never been in this area. Are there any good Surf, Bank, or Pier fishing on or near the island. Any help will be appreciated.
The State Park has a small dock for fishing and crabbing on Scott creek. It is located near the end of the road within the campground on the island side of the beach. If you go to the “beach” campground and walk north you will come to Jeremy inlet it has very good fishing from the surf. Hope this helps and enjoy Edisto.
Sounds great, thanks for the help.
Not sure which dock you are talking about, but if its the one near the cabins, there is a sign that says “only for cabin guest”.
I have seen people fish off the boat dock @ live oak landing (big bay creek)and guess you could fish the indian midden thing on the bike path (very long walk) or from the path into Scott creek. Might bring a bike for this.
Wish I could go too!

I don’t think you can fish off the new dock at Live Oak either. From back campground go down the bike path toward the shell mound. Nice deep bend in the creek with a bench to sit on, maybe half way down. Easy trip on a bike with rod and bucket/cooler. Jeremys Inlet is good but, 1/2 mile walk north on front beach. Also might try Botany Bay Plantation. Can fish the surf on the barrier island. Have done good there before. 1/4 mi walk from park area. See map at Kiosk stand on way in. Turn left on the way in across from the Junk Tree in the marsh. Follow road to the T. Plantation gate to left.

I will check it out. Thanks for the help.
