I fished Friday at the state park. Mixed bag for a beautiful day in December. Temps in the 70’s and sunny. Fished for 3 hours. Three whiting, a dog fish, and a dozen or so of different sized string rays. The stingrays were great for fighting boredom. Every time they hit they bent the rod. I left them biting as I had to head home to Charlotte for some honey do’s.
Cool, what bait were you using?
Very nice! Gota love December in the Lowcountry!
@Fingfisha I use the same bait every time. I have either fresh shrimp or cut mullet to start and once I catch a whiting I filet it and slice it into small slivers. I only use hooks no larger than a 2.
