Edisto this morning

Fished the fishing pier at Wyndham and caught a whiting around 8am on squid. Went to the beach around 9am and fished both sides of a rock jetty but nothing. The water was dirty and weedy. Still looking for some fresh shrimp and just put out a trap for some mud minnows. Thanks Joe for the trap. Looking for other shore options. Thanks Had a good breakfast at the Sea Cow.

Always had good luck around the 3200 block of palmetto. Also, the state park is a great spot.

Ya know, it must be nice living in Neverneverland. Remind me to come visit you, when I need a break from reality.

Where is the Wyndham pier?

Go fish station 37 or higher toward the marina excellent fishing area.

The fishing pier is next to Pressley’s Is fish station 37 is that the beach access number? Have some fresh shrimp now. Nothing in the minnow trap yet. Thanks for your help. Saltwater fishing sucks in Nebraska… Wife is at the pool. Where to try next?

Yeah my bad. Each beach uses a different term, Sullivan’s is stations, follys is blocks and edisto is access. Its on the south end way in the inlet. 37 might be mikel st if it is, surf fishing is good from there to the marina. I would fish the inlets and cast toward the channel.

Too rough and windy at 37. Went back to the pier and got another whiting and 2 stingrays. Should fishing for blue crab. Get them near the surface and they let go. Need a longer net.

Tried 37 at 7pm with the wife no bites. Really dirty water. Maybe that’s normal. Not sure where I’ll fish in the morning but I will be somewhere. Thinking of the little creeks where the mud minnows are. Usually where there is bait there are fish. 2 more days of fishing. Never know unless you keep trying. Love the area. Went to Botany bay and hiked the beach and did the drive. Lots of deer in town. Didn’t see any tree stands.

Fished 23 this morning around 8:30 till 10. Within 5 minutes got a 13 inch whiting on fresh shrimp. Then a bunch of small bluefish and only 1 other small whiting. Tried 37 in front of Bay point but crabs kept taking the shrimp and mud minnows. Moved back to 23 around 11:30 and fished till 1pm. Caught a ray and a small trout. Not sure where I’ll fish after going to Whaley’s for some flounder. Where next?

Fish the rocks at the point where inlet meets front beach.

Had an hour from 5-6pm so went to the fishing pier next to Pressley’s. Someone had left some chicken necks. I’m sure I brought up a couple dozen crabs but no net. It was still fun.

Wife and I went fishing with a follow forum member and had a great trip! Thanks so much Joe and Kathy for allowing us to visit you at your home and the fishing trip today. Lots of whiting and some shark. Not too many of them in Nebraska. I love this area and all the friendly people and the help this forum has provided. Thanks again!!
