Heading down with my father. No idea of what i am doing, but i will be doing some surf fishing from Edisto state park.
Any ideas will help please. I plan to put a couple of rods out with various baits…shrimp and cut.
Thanks Ken

I don’t know much, but i’d say make sure you’re using fresh bait. And you’re likely to do better in the mornings and evenings. We didn’t catch a thing today at botany bay, but had old bait and fished middle of the day. If you’re using cut bait for sharks, you should use a heavy mono shock leader (couple feet long) and short steel leader to prevent break offs.

One rod with shrimp , one rod with cut bait should work good. It’s still early in the season though, but the blacktips are arriving now.
Got a big tipper last night on cut whiting, they’re starting to show.
