I started at sun up on the north side of Folly. Finished the day with 80 whiting (went home when I hit 80) Only about 5 bull but who’s complaining. I started at the mouth of the lighthouse inlet and walked the river and back depending on the tide.
Very nice…on shrimp I’d assume? Catch anything other than whiting?
Only the first fish is ever caught on shrimp.
Pro Tip- The first one I catch I filet it and slice thin strips. I only hook it once with a #4 circle gamatsu. That helps any size whiting to suck in the hook but leaves enough to be able to set the hook. You don’t go through bait very often either as it stays on the hook. Other species find it rather attractive as well as it is as fresh as it comes. (Sharks, Reds, and trout for example)
That is a bunch of whiting, great day for you Sir
