Excellent Day

Visited another barrier island yesterday.
Had a fine day.
-Fished 2 1/2 hrs flood-2 1/2 hrs ebb
-The bite was still on when we left-ran out of bait and energy-avg angler age 65 yrs(we had a young guy of 53 yrs with us-pulled the avg down)- retirement is OK:stuck_out_tongue:
-Carolina riggs Menhaden and Finger Mullet
Results:
-15 Red Drum 27"s to 45"s-avg probably near 40"s
-4 Atlantic Sharpnose 3’-4’
-and one Whiting:smiley:
-Booted four Reds: bad hook knot, broken leader, angler miss-handle and
a mystery loss. Angler fought what was likely the largest Red of the day for 30mins; but the fish got off just as it was almost beached.
No tackle problems-most likely hook pulled out.
No photos yet-will post as available.
Reds wore us out yesterday-good tired!!

Yes, we did have an excellent day-thank y’all.
It’s one of the top five in my 13 years of SC beach fishing.

What’s up with the hiding identity? These guys supposed to be at work or hiding from the wives?

Don’t know why; maybe they have outstanding warrants?
They ask me to blur; their option-not unusual on CF.
