A lot of my buddies are either in Canada fighting Giant Bluefin or crushing the Big Eye’s and yellowfin in the canyons of the North East. Being from the North East and growing up fishing that way has me longing to be a part of it.
Yet, as I sit here in South Carolina and get ready to get back on the water after leaving summer to the tourists, I have to wonder, who has it better. Sure tuna taste good but fishing is about the fight to me, not the meal. So I have devised a challenge based on the Canadian Giant Tuna fishery where you have 1 hour to land your fish or the line gets cut.
Book a charter with me from now through the end of the year and if you can “land” #700 pounds of amberjack in an hour your trip is free! It’s that simple.
This is a per person test, yet all patrons can attempt it for a totally free trip. Otherwise the charter fee will be divided by the number of anglers and reduced by the appropriate share.
That sounds like a safe bet for Courtland To beat that challenge you would have to land a 70+ pound fish every six minutes for an hour [:0] I’ll pass on that one!

No one remotely thinks it’s possible. I am going to try it and see how it goes. That will give us something to go off of.
