Family Time

Hit the beach this weekend with my wife, my son and my trusty companion Grace. I wasn’t sure how the bite would be with several day’s of serious rain and run off before hand, but was going to make the best of it regardless. We used fresh local shrimp from the folks at Magwood and chunked with what fish we caught as well. We saw a few strange things that were firsts for me. The first was a coyote on the beach in the morning scavenging for some food. He was to far away to get a picture but I’m positive it was one. The second was we bagged a catfish which was a first as well for me in the surf. The third really blew my mind was when a very, very old lady walked up to us in a string bikini. She literally was sporting a full moon with a string wedged in her azz and had two tiny patches covering her breasttesssesss. It wasn’t easy to concentrate and hold a conversation with her. I was a bit confused and embarrassed. As far as fish we caught a decent amount of mixed bag species. We landed some big whiting, a few ray’s, a blue, 2 ladies, couple small black drum, a catfish, a bunch of tiny sharks. A three foot shark in the mix as well. I’m having a tough time putting up reds this year thus far but it is early and hopefully that will change come Fall. Not great for two outings, but hanging with the family, fishing, beer and sub samiches is a pretty good weekend in my book. Take care folks and say a prayer for those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. God Bless our service men and women. May they rest in peace.
