Surprised none of the Cock fans have brought this up yet. This is a huge upgrade for the Cocks at RB. Dude will start right away.
Upgrade yes, dude has to learn the playbook and gel with his QB and O-line first. That O-line wasn’t good last year, if they decide not to accept him as a teammate, his time will be short. Capable of making an impact, most definitely. Will he, I doubt he gets the carries he would have at Clemson. Kudos to him for getting his degree and doing what he believes will take him to the next level.
Still doesn’t change the outcome in November.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Feaster will have right around two weeks to prepare for the first game so his impact, at that point, will be very limited. Granted, I don’t believe he will be vital to their success during their first two games (UNC and CSU) so in essence, that will give him two more weeks to get more familiar with the playbook and gain a little chemistry with the offense before the beating from Alabama occurs.
USC’s O-line was better last year than the year before but still in need of improvement. Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised is Dowdle is “named” the starting RB to start the season but as soon as Feaster is up to speed to the coaching staff’s liking, he becomes the starter and averages 10-15 carries per game for the rest of the season, barring injury.

He’s been working out with them for a while according to a friend.

Yeah but I don’t believe he can participate in any “organized team activities” yet so coaches haven’t had a chance to work with him yet and he hasn’t had “official access” to the playbook yet. I feel it would be irresponsible to say that and not add a “wink, wink, nod, nod” to this comment.

For what? Have you seen their schedule?!?!?!
I was listening to some sports talk station the other day and they were talking ACC football and kind of gave USC a backhanded compliment. They were talking about Clemson’s schedule and they said the “closest thing to a threat” on Clemson’s schedule was “their game with South Carolina.” I’m not sure if that says more about USC or less about the ACC. I’m thinking less about the ACC.

I get it from a players stand, but as a fan, it seems so wrong. Thinking about next year instead of the rest of his life. If I was either of the 2-3 senior RB’s on South Carolina, I wouldn’t like this dude coming in thinking he is going to win my position either… he is in for a tough haul if you ask me. If he does win the starting job, it would be a little bit of a surprise, but I’ve been wrong before.
C/P(this guy see’s the big picture…)
We’ve all seen the stats. Clemson rushed for 3,723 yards and 49 TDs. Now compare that to South Carolina’s 1,986 yards and 15 TDs. Add in that Feaster makes running back #7 on scholarship this year for the Gamecocks. I just find it hard to believe that someone would call that move a business decision and think it as a good one. Feaster could never make it to the top of the depth chart for any length of time because of his lack of finding the hole and timidness through the hole. Gamecock fans want to look at the couple big runs he had but they fail to mention the Mack truck size hole he ran through. Those big runs of his were the result of the hole being self recognizable. Don’t get me wrong he had some nice runs and did some things but he wasn’t the starter for a reason. You hear Gamecock fans say “well he was behind a Heisman contender so how do you expect him to unseat that guy” and to that I say that Heisman contender couldn’t pick up a pass rusher if you pointed out who was rushing and where said pass rusher was coming from. So ETN passed Feaster solely on ETN’s ability to find the hole and explode through the hole something Feaster had trouble with. I just wonder what Feaster is going to think when he is splitting carries with Dowdle to the tune of a 6 win season. Feaster thinks he is going to go in and be the feature back and get 200+ carries for 1,200 yards and 15 TDs, well I hate to tell again that he got passed by a true freshmen that couldn’t pass block. We all know what Coach Elliott and CDS think of a back that can’t pass block. They’ve said time and time ag
Good assessment SN, it also took him his entire freshman year to learn the playbook. I think he saw the writing on the wall at Clemson too, Lyn J Dixon is a better back and was taking his spot, throw in two highly regarded freshmen coming in along with a nasty receiving corps and he wasn’t going to get as many touches but I bet he would have still gotten more than at Sakkerliner. He’s done what he believes is best though and I thank him for the contributions. Wish him the best of luck.

Year they beat UK? Maybe?
It could be “seeing the writing on the wall” but I think there’s more to it. First, Feaster is going to have his degree from Clemson. That shouldn’t be overlooked. He has eligibility left and his ultimate goal is to play in the NFL. He obviously doesn’t feel he’s done enough to reach the next level so he’d need to play for a team where he stood a better chance of being the feature back. USC has a very unsettled RB corps so I think it makes perfect sense for him to transfer in-state to USC. Plus, the prettiest girl at Clemson is going to be front and center with every media outlet in the country so it’s not like Clemson is going to be a run-heavy team so I don’t see where Feaster would’ve stood a chance to get more touches at Clemson versus USC. Regardless, Feaster is an upgrade for USC and I would think they’d be glad to have him. Any other player that would be angry about Feaster getting some of their snaps probably needs to worry more about improving and stepping up. You don’t have to worry about losing snaps if you’re working to hard enough to keep them.
Maybe, Harryd, just maybe.

Maybe beat A&M?
Maybe beat Clemson also. The offense didn’t struggle against them last year that’s for sure. Hell, Dabs had to run on the field before the game was over to keep them from shoving it down his throat one more time.
After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.
^^ LOL ^^
All that loose secondary was just a set-up for Tua. It couldn’t have worked out any better either… hook, line and sinker… hell, even the bobber too. The coaches played all 4 of those last teams like a fiddle in Charlie Daniels band.

No Debo this year. Debo did embarrass Tanner Muse all game.
