I’ll be there with the boat. Anybody else got plans for Edisto this weekend?
Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…

e9871,
It will probably be April before I get back down but good luck and stay in touch.
When I get back down there I’ll give you some more pointers on how not to catch fish. We’ll have a good time though…

I’ll be fishing the surf by the point on Sat. I’ll have the yak with me so I may go up the creek a bit as well. I don’t expect to catch much other than doggies, but anything that puts a bend in the rod works for me. Also hoping to get my wife onto some fish.

I know it’s still cold. I’m not worried about actually catching anything. I just happen to be free of wife and kids this weekend, so I’m taking the opportunity to get to the beach alone. Of course, I’ll take the boat out, and try to catch some fish, but I’m not worried about results until it warms up a little more.
I was just wondering if anybody else will be down there. This will be my 3rd weekend at Edisto out of the last 4 weekends.

Anybody know if you can catch pinfish in the creeks this time of year? I want some fresh cutbait and don’t know if I’ll be able to net any mullet. Was thinking of jigging a sabiki around some dock pilings from my yak this weekend.

We are headed down to fish today and tomorrow. Caught 'em good two weekends ago. Released a 4 lb trout and will provide picture if someone would be kind enough to direct me as to how. Bob Sanders
