Braved the February chill, and the weatherman was wrong on the waves (again) to head out to the 40. Was hoping to run to the 60, but it was too choppy. Been watching Youtube fishing videos, and decided to try some plastics in my never ending quest to limit out on Flounder.
Current was mild, then got heavy. Water temp at the reef was 53.
The Flounder were unimpressed with my z-man shrimp coated with Dr. Juice, but the BSBs were game. Took a while to figure out the difference between setting a jighead and a circle hook, but eventually got it down. We even enticed a Sharpnose to bite an artificial.
Next up seasonal service. Will be back out in March, and will post reports then.
