Had decent luck in the surf lately. Here’s my report from Sunday:
Fished the afternoon incoming tide at Folly. Fairly strong current. Went an hour or so with no bites. Moved around some and finally picked up a whiting on cut shrimp. Cut it up and threw it out on my larger rod. Hooked up with a nice red immediately which ran strait towards me. I didn’t get a good hook set and lost her close in. Fished for about 3 hours total. Ended up with 1 blue, 1 whiting, 1 lost red and 1 landed red (pictured).
