Sparky, Here’s a good site:
Unfortunately, the public landings page doesn’t come up. The club tourney is out of Acapulco with a 3PM weigh-in. My wife just had some surgery, so we won’t fish, may try to make the weigh-in.
Here’s a link to the club:

Sparky, The best map of Murray is the FISHUNT map by Ed Fetner. I Googled it and came up with nothing. Give Richard or Dona Hall at Lake World a call and they will be happy to give you the scoop - 803.957.6548. They have copies of the map along with live herring or large shiners and the best advice on the lake.

I wish the boys over in the saltwater inshore reports would take a lesson from ya’ll over here. This was a great post with some helpful information. Most of the posts in the inshore forum contain jiberish and basically no helpful information for newbies. It seems to me that there is a bunch of know-it-alls over there with nothing helpful to say.
Well done!!!
I like to fish!!!
thanks crazeeb, some of those guys are pretty cool and some well you know.i try to help anyone i can.this crap about spots being secret is just a bunch of bull.i’ll show some one where i catcht fish, thats not the only one on the water.i’ve had people tie off to my boat under a bridge that i crappie fish under ther has been as many as 8 boats under at one time every body caught fish and got along.i fish to have fun not to ***** and be an ass about everything.
THAT GET’S A BIG AMEN FROM THE BACK OF THE CHURCH:smiley:
Yall gonna sing kumbayya now?
He took the bait like a jugbelly redfish on an olive and white clouser.
fished sunday at the jug hole and it was tough. caught one 6lb large mouth and pulled the hook on a nice striper at the boat. had probably 8 strikes all day from 9-2. the burgers at buffalo creek were the best bite all day. fished tuesday from my dock near jakes with cut bait and to my surprise caught a 23" striper. plan on fishing sunday weather permiting and i will post my results.
sharky still on for saturday?

murrayfisherman, Aculpoco USA landing is rather easy to find. Head up 378 toward Leesville, past Captain’s Choice Marine, turn right at the Shell gas station I believe. There is a sign for Aculpoco USA next to station. Go up about a 1/2 mile and turn left at Old Lexington Baptist Church. Go about 3/4 mile and on the right you will see a pile of rocks with a concrete elephant on top, a Radisson hotel sign (which I have never understood), and the entrance to Aculpoco. Drop your $5 in the box and fill out you vehicle info card. The fee recently increased to $15 if they catch you not paying.
sparky5250, David will have bait at Aculpoco landing Saturday from 5:30am to about 5:45am only from what I was told. If you are coming up the 378 side of Murray, your best place for bait is probably Dooley’s, which is on the right as you bear right on 378 leaving downtown Lexington. Pull around the left side and they will hook you up. They were the only place we found open for bait this past Monday. Otherwise, there are Lake World and Better Bait on the Lexington side of the dam, and usually a couple guys at the Dam launch selling bait up until 7am.
Best of luck to you all this weekend and be careful as I did watch about 15 of the craziest sobs Monday chasing a large ■■■■■ of gulls. Problem was, they were not feeding, just simply trying to rest on the water. Everytime one landed feet first, here came the charge of boats. It was pretty entertaining other than the fact of the two that would fly within 15-20 feet of us anchored.
