Finally got back out since my last outing with Pete and Parker.
Load is a little lighter now that I don’t have the third rod #128514; But anywho.
Not a huge showing. Lots of bites and a few fish but only two really worth mentioning haha. Caught the biggest whiting I’ve ever caught. Roughly 13-15 inches and had to be close to 2 lbs. had a good red on the hook and when I was able to see it it freaked out and slipped the hook about 10 yards off the beach. Did land a super nice red today though. Fave me quite the fight for a good 15 minutes. Soft hit and cruised until I started reeling to “check” the hook. Made some good runs. Unfortunately didn’t have any one around me to snap a picture of me holding it but I did get a decent pic of it real quick before I let it off. Really thick felt darn near 20-25 lbs if not slightly heavier. Didn’t even give me a chance to walk her out haha. As soon as we got to knee high water she flicked hard out of my hands and sped off.
Also Pete and Parker, my small white rod continues to “target” big fish. Had two big pulls that snapped/bit through my wire drop rig.
