I was fishing at the Edisto 40 with a sabiki rig and catching some greenies , but also alot of some other kind of baitfish that i have never seen before , they were very shiny with little fins that stuck out from their belly . I’m sure some of you guys have caught them before what are they?
It was a Leatherjack.
Did it look like this? The DNR told me that this is a Leather Jacket. Don’t claim to be an expert, but I will help you any way I can.

sorry guys i don’t think any of you have it yet , it looks a little like the picture in ugly duck’s post ,but i little wider and they were averaging about 5in. in length.
