Im looking for recomendations on a near shore fishing charter in edisto. My dad and my two brothers and a couple others are looking to go out the week of 6/28-7/3/15. From what i have seen they are all around 600-650 for a 5 hour trip. Any help or info would be appreciated. Also im gonna try some surf fishing this year as well. Im actually gonna be down there next week as well. So any pointers on that would be appreciated as well.
Thanks
Stuart
Its going to be really hard to get all those people in one boat. That being said, I highly recommend Ron Davis, Raddaddy on this site, for your charter. I doubt seriously he can handle that many, though.

Being on the water is a blessing, catching fish is a bonus!
Jimmy skinner with Fontaine charters is your man for nearshore stuff. It’s a little tight, but he can handle 6 on his boat. Tell them Colin and Daniel sent you, and they will probably charge you extra!

Capt Jimmy would be an excellent choice! Capt Dillard, Capt Jeremy or Capt Calhoun of Edisto Water Tackle and Capt Ron Davis are also great choices too!

Thanks for the replys. Anyone got any advice on doing some surf fishing next week. Gonna be down wed-sun. Never really surf fished before so got a couple rods and just gonna set up try a little while we out on beach. Also probably gonna try to shoot over to steam boat and fish a little there as well. Looking for a few tips for a first timer.
2 or three hook drop rig with small circle hooks and small bits of fresh shrimp (I Don’t even know if you can get fresh shrimp this time of year)ANyhoo just don’t buy that nasty smelly **** in the convenience stores they sell for bait.

Yea im gonna get the license when i get down there tuesday night. Do yall just buy fresh shrimp at flowers or edisto seafood and fish with that?
Either would be good choices for fresh bait!
