Fished thursday from 7am-1pm and caught absolutely nothing. Not even a whiting.
Fished today 8rods with my wife and brother and caught absolutely nothing no bites. We had 4 shark rods out 2 whiting rods with sabikis and 2 double drop rigs with cut baits. We even moved spots once.
Going to go tommorow early morning hopefully i have better luck.
Anyone else catching anything at all past few days. Everyone i talked to also said they have caught nothing.
My calculations say, 6:00-9:00AM and 6:30-9:30PM will be peek times. Rest of the day is below average action.
Fished a total of 36 hours this weekend and caught 1 whiting and 1 blacktip. Slow weekend
It could be several things. One big one factor this past weekend was no moon. That and the change in our weather pattern could have shut them down. Mostly it reminds me that just when you think you’re getting it figured out, nature throws curve balls.

We had rough surf with lots of weeds and onshore winds. All that adds up to conditios that fish dont like in shallow. On the plus side right after a strong tide and onshore wind fishing is fantastic in the surf. Stevo you fish enough to keep a journal/log. Start marking down the tide, moonphase, wind direction and time. You know when to expect a tough time or when to take your buddies because the bite will be on. Ive had my best luck at folly this year on the upper tide stages. I dropped to shark lines Friday and had 5 hits and hook up on 1 but it shook off in the surf. It took an actual hr off strenuous work to reel it in from 300yds out because i had on a thing of weeds the size of an elephant and a 32 oz spider weight. I felt it the whole time even felt it shake off in the surf. It felt big too.
