Yesterday I had clients. We were set up fishing a certain area. Along came another boat. He decided he wanted to fish the same place. And scrunched in beside us. He literally got out of the boat and pulled it in by us.
This is just not done, folks. Yes, it’s a public river, but you don’t have to be thoughtless. It’s not like there are no other places to fish.
Apology to my clients.

Never heard of such! Did he say anything to you? I think I would have said something to him! I have been on fish and called someone in to my spot when I left or had the tie to my stern but never un wanted. I have asked folks if I could fish there dock at times a little politeness goes a long way. Hope yop got his boat # and post it here.
I was anchored up in a creek off the North Edisto last fall and a guide and 2 guys in a Pathfinder came and started fishing within 20-30 yards from me.They were so close I could hear every word they said.Even my wife who knows nothing about fishing was pissed they came in on top of us.
We ended up with a huge crew showing up so decided to troll for a couple of hours and then let them bottom fish. No bites trolling. Caught a bunch of nice black sea bass bottom fishing. Lost steering coming into big bay and found a hydraulic leak. Hopefully they can get it fixed quick now that the dolphin are showing up.
FS, hope you get the leak fixed fast with out much trouble or expense! Dropped a buddy in at the marina with my old boat and drove the truck and trailer to the house on store creek (close to the bridge) and waited for him. After an hour I ran the john boat out and found him about 3 bends from the house, an end had come off one hose and he had to steer with the motors all the way up the creek.Had new hose made in charleston that afternoon!
It’s a shame some are so inconsiderate. Actually had a local guide two falls ago troll back and forth of me while I was anchored near the dock on Morgan Island. Actually snagged a bottom line I had out. I politely told his customer that his guide was not who he should recommend to anyone.
I will not post the guy, but I know a few of his favorite spots that I’ve shared with anyone that cares to listen. Seems this fellow has a couple of “hot” spots and seems to think no one else should fish them.
