Fishing from Bank help

I’m heading down to Edisto Wednesday night (8/9) until 8/13. Only been to edisto once before. Anyone know of anywhere to fish some creeks from land? Not really looking to surf fish, but if that is my only/best option, so be it. No boat, unfortunately. Been scouting google maps hard.

Suggestions on a guide, despite it being last minute?

Thanks for any insight.

I see people fishing the golf course pond at Wyndham from Docksite Road. I would have never thought there would be much in there but my son caught a large redfish in there last summer using cut bait on the bottom at night. There are rumors of small tarpon in there but can’t personally verify. There are always a lot of folks fishing the mouth of the South Edisto where you can park at a public access and walk in. It is probably somewhere between surf and creek as there are not usually big waves there. I know there are a lot of sharks and with the menhaden I’ve seen recently I suspect there are other fish as well. I would also guess there are places to fish creeks from the Edisto State Park and the website should have info about where and regulations. Good luck.

Give Capt. Buddy a call. I’m sure he will either have an opening or help you find another guide that does. Capt Buddy posts a lot of his reports here and seems like a stand up fellow.

Appreciate the feed back! Jghall, they don’t run you off if fishing at the golf course off Docksite Rd?

I see a lot of folks fishing around the landing at the Dahoo bridge, excuse me, Mickinley Wahington bridge!
