My Dad and I plan to fish in the S Edisto area Friday (trout & redfish). I havn’t fished in December so I am looking for any information I can get for Friday as far as lures/bait, depths, etc. with the lower temperatures and today’s rain. Any help will be much appreciated.
Trout bite should be good on artificals fishing the falling tide around points where water is flowing out of the grass. The redfish bite will be hit and miss. One day they will bite and the next they will ignore your bait. I would use mud minnows around low tide.

I had good luck with popping cork and DOA shrimp this past Sunday. Just like Orob says points where water is coming out of the grass.
What they said Plus trout tricks utilized in same places. If wind is bad, hit the bluff banks with fallen trees for trout. 8-12 feet of water
Thank you for the help. Where are you getting the mud minnows?
The marina usually has mud minnows $6/doz.

Mud minners are easy to catch with a trap placed in a gutter on a falling tide using fish cleanings as bait!
How did it go? Tides and wind were pretty brutal!
