Went out at high tide and found a new spot when the fish alarm went off. Found a ledge right right off a creek mouth flat that dropped down about three feet and the trout were stack right at the lip of the ledge. It appeared that there was a thermocline right there. It was coming off of high tide and the current was strong so we had a little difficulty getting the jigs to that spot. We caught them on a Trout Eye and an original Trout Trick and a Gulp pearl shrimp with chartreuse tail. Once the thermocline went away the bite stopped. We then caught some live shrimp at low tide and ran to another spot for the incoming tide. The next spot was a flat next to a deep hole and the trout were hitting as soon as the shrimp under a float hit the water. Fishing was great until the dolphin showed up and wouldn’t leave. One even posted himself about 25 yards away and held position in the current. I guess he was waiting for a trout to hit our bait so he could get an easy meal but the trout weren’t having any of it. We saw two eagles fighting above us and plenty of other wildlife. We kept 4 keeper trout and went home because I had to go to work. Also an alarm started going off in the boat, even when the motor wasn’t running. I’ll post that question in the boats and motor forum.
