Haven’t posted in quite a while…my bad. Too much time on Facebook!
Really good day on the St. Helena side of the pond yesterday. Water from Combahee to Ashepoo looked like a black water river with all the fresh water pushed down during Irma rainfall.
Caught loads of fish…maybe 70 or 75 total. Inshore slam of red drum, black drum, trout and flounder. Biggest red was 29 1/2", black drum was 22". Flounder was short and only 4 keeper trout out of the 20 or so I caught. Tons of small Redfish…had to keep moving away from them. So good to see a new crop of reds coming along!
Fish bit mud minnows, live shrimp and VuDu shrimp…falling and then rising tide.
Beautiful day on the water…and I needed a good day after all my 40+ wheelbarrow loads of Irma cleanup!
Hey Jim, I met you the other day when I stopped and talked to you about my parents and your house. Nice to see a familiar face on here, looks like you had a great day!

Unbelievable day! Congrats. I didn’t quite catch your spots and the exact tides, so if you could post them again that would be great…#128540;
Seriously, anyone know how the shrimping has been in general? Big enough to get out there?
always enjoy your posts wildlifesc. We are guessing the storm surge in that area had to be 10’ Have you seen the second set of docks going away from whale branch bridge? terrible stuff.
Have you heard much on shrimping after this storm?
