Hey I just moved here from up north … still trying to translate fishing terms lol /// what i could really use is a local mao with piers / boat ramps / surf casting spots on it … does such a thing exsist and any idea where i can find one ??
theres a public pier at folly beach which is either $7 or 8 a day to fish at, mount pleasant pier right near patriots point, and countless spots you can park at along isle off palms or sullivans island. welcome to the site and just a heads up in general people on here wont post their specific good spots. not to be rude to you at all but theres a ton of people that watch us post trying to pick up our reports and none of us want to see 8 people in our favorite hole when we get there. along with folly and mt p pier some popular not secret at all surf areas you can park legally and begin your search is the lighthouse area of folly (far north end theres street parking), breach inlet where sullivans island/IOP meet, and behind fort moultrie at sullivans island. as with any fishing theres better spots than others in those very general areas and it can be hit or miss but that will at least get your line in the water.
Check you local tackle stores. Great place for info, tips, and maps. There are Coastal Outdoor maps which show all the piers and landings. Also some Hot Spot fishing maps and Maps Unique for nearshore spots. Chas Cty has a bunch of part/rec areas too.

dont know where you live but if you google places called “charleston angler” and “haddrells point” those are 2 of the bigger local tackle shops and either of which are good stores and can also help point you in the right direction.
Thanks for the quick responses… again I literally just moved to Summerville really leaning on the GPS just to find groceries. I’ll check out google and google maps for the places you mentioned … thanks again // good fishing … the stress of finding a job makes me NEED to fish if you know what i’m saying
