Does anyone fish the jetties at the river entrance for bull reds? I have been reading alot about the Charleston jetties and big redfish.
Planning on trying Monday. Any advice would be helpful. I will be coming out of Bluffton’s May River.

my brother tried fishing the northern jettie, the east most point this weekend for reds. he just moved here from charleston and wanted to try these jetties out. they didnt catch any reds, but did get a 35lb king. they were fishing with pin fish. i see people fishing there all of the time.

Is there any special way you fish the jetties for kings or do you just work the edges all the way up and down?
not sure. i dont usually fish for king. all i know is they were anchored, and the bait was on the bottom in about 15’.
