The family headed out Saturday for a little fun. Snagged a few bait fish and headed to the beach. We made our way to a point on a barrier island and with the winds NE at 10-15 it was tough to get bait to stay put as the powerful water dumped in the inlet. It makes fishing tough, but I like targeting the moving water. The water funneling in and out carries allot of bait fish, crabs etc. and bigger fish will target them as the smaller ones get caught in the current. Caught two reds, a few smallish sharks, a decent black drum, some whiting and zillion dinner plate sized rays. All fish hit a tiny knob of shrimp. I hope all yuse guys are doing well. In a couple of months cooler weather heading our way. God Bless and take care folks:smiley:
and just so y’all know my dog was not sleeping sitting up, she was just meditating:smiley:
WOW, looks really sloppy. Nice catches though. I looked at the wind for the weekend and decided on Sun.
I wish I could get my cast net full of baitfish like that
Me too, I usually get one small whiting per throw…
