I assure you that I am not an expert on Edisto, fishing, life, etc…I’m human, make mistakes, learn new things everyday, and do something that scares me everyweek for the experience. I apoligize if I came across the wrong way to you or anyone else. I try to live my life the way I was taught by my family. Treat others the way you want to be treated, love family, have some very close friends and lots of good aquaintances, love God, work hard, and good things will happen in return. Internet forums are not the best way to know who people are.

I have known bard for several years now and he is as good of a person as anyone down here. Also pbunn he is a pretty good source for info about Edisto. When you live down here full time you pick up a lot.
Brad I just called Colon and they were about 3 hours into ther first drag. I wonder how long it will take travis and colon to be at each others necks.

When I walked the beach this morning for the turtle watch, I saw 7 shrimp boats about 3 miles out from the pavilion on the horizon, so I drove by Edisto Seafood to see if the shrimp boat was out. Both the Sarah Jane and Silver Eagle where gone. I went back by when they came in and they did one drag, had some minor problems with the pulleys and wrinch. Only brought back 30 lbs of shrimp. That is better than no shrimp. I am sure that Colin learned a lot today. I wish him the best of luck with shrimping and Travis. I have some more news for you, but not on this forum. I will tell you in person.

I wouldnt be worried about how many boats are out there. I would be more worried about colin and travis’s all star captain. cheers

I noticed your remarks about walking the turtle watch this morning. Could I have met you last year in June in the 100 block. I believe it was a Brad that we watched move a nest.

That’s me. You must be the surf fisherman. We had three crawls this morning on my section. Got to see one lay last night for an hour. I will be out of town this coming weekend, but will return on Monday.

Yep, I am the nut with the surf fishing buggy. Got a new one this year. Hope to break it in right next week.
